Mickeys’ muertos maze was created in an attempt to depict this American icon in a different light. (tough to do with so much art being made about this mouse) Mickey is a skeleton controlling both life and death in a freeway traffic jam on the bridge. The cars are rats with wheels heading in the same direction. The wooden ax is life size.

A butterfly bearded tribute to my father. The imagery for this piece came from a poem by Allen Ginsberg in his description of Walt Whitman. I have seen a photograph of Whitman where he is holding a butterfly. It represents gentle masculinity. The imagery at the top of the piece is an adrift pizza man having lost his oars, surrounded by sharks with incoming storm.
